Evelyn & Walter Haas, Jr. Fund - Senior Associate, Grants and Data Management
The Senior Associate, Grants and Data Management position provides an excellent opportunity to work for a mission-driven organization, leveraging technology to enhance the grantee experience and advance equity goals.
The role involves a range of grants and data management responsibilities, centered on the Haas, Jr. Fund’s Grants Management System (GMS). These include ensuring the integrity of grantee information, monitoring all grant awards and payments, assisting with legal and regulatory compliance, and developing and tracking performance metrics – while keeping in mind the needs and perspectives of the Haas, Jr. Fund’s grantees. In addition, the role involves a wide range of reporting and analysis, with many exciting possibilities as the Haas, Jr. Fund seeks to utilize data to advance our equity goals. Collaboration with colleagues from all departments is an essential part of the role.
The Senior Associate coordinates the grants application cycle for the Haas, Jr. Fund’s grantees, including maintaining the online portal through which applications are received, monitoring proposal information for completeness, ensuring grant approvals and grant agreements are appropriately documented, overseeing grant payments and reports, and ensuring grants are appropriately closed out.
The Senior Associate should be a well-organized, detail-oriented professional with experience in data management, an appreciation of the importance of information security, and an interest in analyzing data to uncover insights and areas for improvement.

Department of Labor - Office of Workers Compensation Programs | Data Scientist
Major duties for this position include but are not limited to, the following:

Conduct research into, extract, gather, interpret, and analyze medical and pharmaceutical data from various databases and sources.

Have proficiency in SQL, R, SAS, Python, Spark, Jupiter, notebook-based workflows, or other data analytics tools for use in the development of predictive and statistical models to assist in medical and pharmacy healthcare data management and decision making.

Apply advanced quantitative, computer science, mathematical, and statistical skills to interpret large structured and unstructured data sets to answer specific questions and assist in making data-driven decisions regarding OWCP agency operations and management of workers' compensation programs.

Identify, evaluate, and measure significant issues and opportunities related to compliance, drug cost discrepancies and outliers between pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) contract requirements and amounts billed to the government.

Evaluate the impact of short- and long-term drug policy changes, perform root cause analyses to understand observed trends in utilization and cost, and refine policies and processes associated with the effective and efficient delivery/reimbursement of pharmacy benefits nationwide.

The Center for Environmental Health | Science Coordinator
The Science Coordinator is responsible for assisting the SD to ensure that all of CEH’s programmatic work follows the best available science. This includes our program strategies as well as science and testing projects. This scientific foundation allows CEH to successfully reduce the public’s exposure to toxic chemicals. Current CEH strategies include public interest litigation; partnerships with corporations, large institutions, and schools to eliminate toxic chemicals from the built environment and food/food service ware; partnerships with community based groups; and policy advocacy.

The Center for Environmental Health | Food Program Manager
We are looking for a Manager to support CEH’s Food program, with a strong focus on our Institutional/Corporate Engagement work. The Manager is part of a team that supports large institutions to purchase healthier products including food service ware, which improves the quality of our food and reduces toxic exposures for those that come into contact with our food. By creating widespread demand for products without harmful chemicals, we are increasing access to safer products for all and advancing public health and environmental justice.
The ideal candidate is passionate about protecting people from toxic chemicals, has excellent oral and written communication skills, has excellent attention to detail and follow through abilities, is comfortable giving presentations and able to work independently as well as part of a team. We have a preference for the Program Manager to be located in the San Francisco Bay Area and eventually work in our Oakland office once CEH reopens unless a special provision has been made for a remote staff person.
The Manager of the Food Program will report to CEH’s Food Program Director, will work alongside the Food Program Coordinator and may help manage the work of our team of student assistants.

The Unity Council | Academic & Career Mentor
The primary responsibilities of the LMB Academic & Career Mentor are to implement the Latino Men and Boys program and youth activities at an assigned high school or middle school throughout the school year. To be successful, the Mentor will be committed to social justice, and will work closely with a team of mentors and femmetors, supervisors and colleagues in Community Programs, and external youth service partners. Mentors receive opportunities for professional development, growth and career mobility.
